This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Jackie Evans (Nee Starbuck) who was born in United Kingdom on August 04, 1959 and passed away on March 27, 2005 at the age of just 45. We will remember her forever. XxXxXxXxX
Our Darling Jackie was a beautiful person inside and out, she lived life to the full, she loved music, dancing, singing, going out on the town but most of all she loved her family, she was a very good wife and mother to her 3 Children Grant, Reece and her little girl Gracie-Mai.
Jackie lost her life to lung cancer, she had all the treatment and it was working for a time and she was getting better, her hair started to grow back and she was looking as lovely as ever, but then she went down hill fast and she lost the battle. Everyone who knew her loved her, She was the life and soul of any party, She loved to go to Belgium every year which was on the first weekend of March, It was an all girls weekend and she looked forward to it every year and couldn’t wait for March to come round again, She was the life and soul there too, When she got ill all the other girls didn’t want to go anymore because it just wasn’t the same without her, She would have all the girls crying with laughter because of all the funny things she’d say and do lol , She loved to make people laugh which she did often. Her favourite tipple was Brandy but not just any Brandy, it had to be Martel Brandy and she drunk a lot of it lol and why not? When she was ill all her hair fell out because of the chemo, She would say “Do you like my new hair style” We just wanted to burst out crying there and then, It was so hard for all the family to laugh with her throughout her illness but she just made a joke of everything. She kept very positive throughout her 4 years of illness and always thought she could beat it. But sadly that wasn’t the case.
Heaven is looking after our beautiful Jackie now and I hope she’s singing, dancing, and drinking in a bar in heaven just like she used to do when she was here with us. Keep a bar stool warm for us darling.

Jackie's legacy is for her children to be safe, happy and to live a fruitful life, and to grow into respectable adults. Jackie lived each and every day to the full and she lived every day like it was her last and she would love all her family and friends to do the same.

I am wearing a pair of shoes.
They are ugly shoes.
Uncomfortable shoes.
I hate my shoes.
Each day I wear them, and each day I wish I had another pair.
Some days my shoes hurt so bad that I do not think I can take another step.
Yet, I continue to wear them.
I get funny looks wearing these shoes.
They are looks of sympathy.
I can tell in other's eyes that they are glad they are my shoes and not theirs.
They never talk about my shoes.
To learn how awful my shoes are might make them uncomfortable.
To truly understand these shoes you must walk in them.
But, once you put them on, you can never take them off.
I now realize that I am not the only one who wears these shoes.
There are many pairs in this world.
Some women are like me and ache daily as they try to walk in them.
Some have learned how to walk in them so that they don't hurt quite so much.
Some have worn the shoes so long that days will go by before they think about how much they hurt.
No woman deserves to wear these shoes.
Yet,because of these shoes I am a stronger woman.
These shoes have given me the strength to face anything.
They have made me who I am.
I will forever walk in the shoes of a woman who has lost a child.
